Following the latest amendments to the technical regulations by the FIA and from experience gained since the 2005 Dakar Rally the following points should be considered;-

Points from 2005 Dakar Rally. (not applicable to cars built from 01/01/05)

6 Move the 2kg AFFF extinguisher mounting onto gearbox cover or fit additional smaller AFFF extinguisher, which can be accessed by the driver whilst he is wearing his seat belts & relocate life hammer onto roof or dashboard if fire extinguisher is moved to the top of gearbox cover.
