Following the latest amendments to the technical regulations by the FIA and from experience gained since the 2005 Dakar Rally the following points should be considered;-

Points from 2005 Dakar Rally. (not applicable to cars built from 01/01/05)

2 The ASO technical note issued prior to the 2005 Dakar Rally stated air restrictors outside diameter must be reduced to 51mm local to internal restriction. (See also New Points below).

2 Air Restrictor - The revised FIA regulations suggest that the outside diameter of the restrictor must be less than 6mm larger than the restricted diameter inside (local to the restriction).
Bowler Off Road Ltd has requested clarification on this but has not as yet received a response.
